3 Startups, 1 Dream: How This 21-year-old Telangana Man Is Developing India

Can you imagine running three startup companies just after graduating from college? Well, this 21-year-old Karimnagar lad Sai Abhinay Chepuri has done it to help the causes close to his heart. Each of his companies are striving today while providing jobs to the underprivileged, promoting sustainable living and encouraging organic farming.

After completing his Bachelors in Engineering from the Lovely Professional University, Abhinay launched the three startups one after the other.

Make It Memorable, his first venture is aimed at providing jobs to those who either lack skills or the exposure due to circumstances. With proper guidance and training, the employees are able to crack the interviews successfully. The startup company looks at organising several events and seminars where corporates are invited to interview these employees.

The first placement event was organised at Lovely Professional University with the support of Abhinay’s professors. About 40 people managed to get jobs with great packages (upto Rs 5.5 lakh per annum).

So far, Abhinay has provided jobs to more than 100 youngsters who wanted to be photographers and videographers, among other professions. Revealing the reason behind his startup idea, Abhinay said, “We don’t charge anything from these individuals as they are already struggling with money and looking for jobs. The idea is to help these people.”

Fresh Spout is all about choosing sustainable ways of living. This startup company manufactures products such as combs, toothbrushes, straws made out of bamboo. Several other products are also made out of waste by using  recycling technology. The team creates these eco-friendly products in Bihar, which are sold across several parts of India. People, who are interested, can buy these products in shops or online – Fresh Spout, WhatsApp or direct call.

Though it has only been six months, the startup has already started generating profits.

Talking about the same, Abhinay said, “My intention with Fresh Spout is not to make money for myself but to use the profits to run the other two companies.”

With organic farming taking centerstage in these times, Abhinay launched ENVIRO-PROMISE, which helps farmers grow their crops organically while using newer technologies. The startup helps in training farmers in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and a few other states and teach them about ways to keep the farmland fertile and reduce farming expenses. His company has helped over 50 farmers until now.

Abhinay applied all that he had learnt in his college and said, “Chemicals and pesticides are harmful for farmland as well as the human body, as we consume the food grown on these lands. It is important to grow organic food.”

So where did Abhinay pick up his business acumen along with a generous heart. The Hyderabadi credits it all to his father and grandfather who belong to a business background and have been helping people in whatever way they can. Talking about it, Abhinay said, “Helping others is in my genes. I got it from my father. I am much more inclined towards entrepreneurship as my grandfather and father are businessmen.”

Abhinay’s work has spoken for itself and he has already won several accolades and awards that include the Emerging Entrepreneur Award from SWI International Awards in 2019, Youngest Ideal Entrepreneur 2018, Emerging Entrepreneur 2019 and Best Youngest Innovative Entrepreneur 2020.

Currently, Abhinay is working on an app that is designed to help farmers improve their agricultural techniques. The suggestions provided by experts will be based on the farmland soil, the environment and farming techniques used in the state. The app will be multi-lingual so that every farmer can understand it and will be launched soon.

Soon, he plans to expand his work to rural villages of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, where he can educate the population about the importance of learning. He is currently negotiating  with T-Hub (Telangana Startup Hub) and is also trying to raise funds for his startups.
